Tools Overview
The integrations that matter most for restaurants—voice, SMS, payments, and handoff.

Core Restaurant Tools
- Twilio Voice: Answer and route calls to your agent; enable barge-in and transfer.
- Twilio SMS/WhatsApp: Send confirmations, ETAs, and after-hours follow-ups.
- Stripe: Take deposits/preauth for large parties or catering (optional).
- Calendars/Reminders: Send reservation reminders and callbacks.
- POS/API handoff: Send structured orders to staff or your POS via API/Webhook.
How to Add Tools (No Code)
Add to Agent: In the Agent block, click Add tools, pick the tool (e.g., Twilio Voice/SMS), and fill required keys/IDs.
As a Block: Drop a tool block (e.g., Stripe, Webhook/API) when you need deterministic calls or logging.
Restaurant Use Cases
- Ordering: Agent uses Knowledge Base + Voice/SMS to capture items and contact → optional Stripe deposit → log to staff/POS.
- Reservations: Collect party/date/time, enforce rules, send SMS confirmation, log for host.
- After-hours: Voice flow captures intent, SMS confirms next steps, email/Slack notifies staff.
- Status updates: API trigger sends concise SMS with ETA or pickup-ready message.
Configuration Tips
- Keep API keys handy (Twilio, Stripe).
- Use structured responses (JSON schemas) so staff/POS don’t retype.
- Add fallback messages for busy/after-hours flows.
- Test each tool in the sandbox before going live on your main number.
See individual tool pages for exact parameters; start with Twilio Voice/SMS and Stripe, then layer more as needed.
