Nuxa shows usage in credits (1 credit = $0.01). You always see what you have, what you’ve used, and what’s left.

BYOK model usage (OpenAI/Anthropic/etc.) is billed by your provider. Nuxa bills for platform services: voice, SMS, embeddings/search, storage, and managed models.

Credits in the UI = dollars x 100. Example: $2.40 voice usage = 240 credits.

Quick Restaurant Examples

  • Voice hotline: 60 minutes of calls ≈ $14.40 → 1,440 credits.
  • SMS confirmations: 500 texts ≈ $5.00 → 500 credits.
  • Menu upload: 50 pages parsed ≈ $1.00 → 100 credits.
  • Busy Friday: 120 minutes voice + 300 SMS ≈ ~$30 → 3,000 credits.

Where to Check Usage

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription.
  2. See Credits used / Included credits, days left, and per-service breakdown.
  3. Overage bills at the same rates—no hidden multipliers.

Tips to Control Spend

  • Keep Knowledge Base tight (short menu entries reduce tokens).
  • Use SMS for confirmations; reserve voice for live calls.
  • Set after-hours flows to collect intent without long calls.
  • Review usage weekly before weekends/holidays; upgrade temporarily if needed.

BYOK vs Managed

  • BYOK: You pay your model provider directly; Nuxa bills only platform services.
  • Managed: Use Nuxa’s managed models; LLM usage shows in credits alongside everything else.
